Has anyone else noticed that #projectlife is really… what’s the word, impeccable? Excellent, expert, faultless, finished, foolproof, ideal, immaculate? People’s #reallife is twisted into some beautifully over-exposed (#nofilter) color explosion of magazine-quality perfection? I’m not sure who, but very recently someone in Blogland mentioned that they were going to try to be a little more honest in their photo journaling and I love it! Love love love!
This is what I look like when I blog. And design. And, let’s be honest, most of the time. Not cute. Not clean… Case and point: today the dog stepped in poop and promptly jumped up on my lap. (Thanks, asshole.) So I made some free journaling cards with a touch of sass and the option for real, because sometimes life isn’t glamorous. Sometimes “perfect day!” and “you make me so happy!” don’t cut it. (Sometimes you get pooped on.) Go ahead, check a box marked “OH SHIT” and keep on keepin’ on!
